His music and content have reached thousands across YouTube and social platforms, connecting with listeners through both message and authenticity.
His releases, including Pain, Better Version of Me, Holy Swagger, and Holy Notes, showcase a blend of vulnerability and intensity, addressing real struggles, sin, and restoration through Christ. Alongside his music, he actively engages a dedicated audience through live content and artist interaction, building a community centered around truth and growth.
Beyond his personal releases, Word Rat has taken initiative in building opportunities for other artists, founding B-Ready Music Group and organizing a multi-stop independent mini-tour in 2024.

About Word Rat
Music was never the starting point. It was always there, but it wasn’t the focus.
For years, Word Rat was deeply involved in preaching, worship, and spiritual growth. That foundation shaped everything. The way he communicates, the weight behind his words, and the purpose in his music all come from that background.
At the same time, hip-hop had always been part of his life. Growing up on old-school rap and hip-hop, he developed a deep respect for lyricism, flow, and authenticity. He also spent time writing across multiple genres, including metal, acoustic, and blues, even playing guitar in other projects.
But Christian hip-hop wasn’t on his radar until later.
After discovering artists like Trip Lee, Lecrae, and K-Drama, something clicked. Seeing it live made it real. It wasn’t just music. It was a vehicle for truth.
That moment reignited something that had always been there.
In 2021, Word Rat wrote and released his first official Christian rap project. Since then, what started as a step of obedience has grown into a clear direction. Writing, recording, and producing from his home studio, he has committed to creating music that is both sonically solid and grounded in Scripture.
At his core, he is still a preacher.
That shows up in every verse.
His music is not built around trends or image. It’s built around truth, conviction, and a desire to see people come to Christ and grow in Him.
As it says in Philippians 1:9–11, his aim is that people would grow in love, discernment, and righteousness through Jesus Christ, to the glory of God.
That is the mission behind everything he creates.
